Gardens and Parks
To get off the beaten track, a collection of private gardens and parks is open for you to enjoy during the summer season (list at the Hotel Reception)

Tours
This young and lively university town, with an important historic past, is well worth a visit. The Musée des Beaux Arts, the Musée de Compagnonnage, the Cathedral, are not to be missed, together with the superb station architecture and the Conference Centre, followed by shopping in the main street and then a break in the Préfecture gardens.

The delights of Bacchus
The vineyards of the Loire Valley produce light and fruity wines, some ageing particularly well to rival the best in the world.
Some notable vineyards: Saint-Nicolas de Bourgeuil, Chinon, Vouvray, Montlouis...
As you travel the Chemin des Vignes, remember to ask for a tasting in the cool vineyard cellars.
