A housing with a lot of character providing a serene stay in the heart of Val de Loire

Le Clos d'Amboise, a private hotel that was built in the 16th century for a clergyman of the Royal Court and redesigned in the 18th and 19th century, offers a French-style landscaped park of 3,000 sq. meters, enclosed by period walls.

The park includes many rare species, in particular two unique centennial magnolias, a huge sycamore and, sitting imposingly and overlooking the park, a Lebanon cedar that witnessed, without a doubt, the French Revolution of 1789.

The garden and the park

In a calm atmosphere that favours relaxation, in the heart of the Royal city of Amboise, find a place that has maintained its serenity since its creation, after your cultural journey in the region

The pool

To refresh, a pool and fountain awaits you in the back of the park, in a green setting; its constant temperature makes it available several months a year.

Comfortable rooms

Friendly and spacious, the personalized rooms with contemporary comfort, are all unique and diverse. Facing the park, they promise romantic summer evenings.

The breakfast

While having breakfast in the Rabelais room, covered with period woodwork and a unique 18th century Versailles wood floor (they say it comes from Castle of the Duke of Choiseul), you will be overwhelmed by the diversity of the buffet and the friendly atmosphere.

Relax

To get in shape and relax, a sports room equipped with a sauna awaits you in the old horse stables that have been restored, keeping their original style.

As soon as you cross the porchway of our graded paved courtyard and you safely park your vehicle, a complete change of scenery awaits you. Now, you are ready for a visit into town, to its castle, the Clos Lucé - and why not for a walk along the Loire, the royal river...

You will stay in an atmosphere out of Balzac; you will be welcomed as guests and leave as friends.
